Business Development Specialist

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Business Development Specialist. Candidate will support a wide range of business development activities including preparation of marketing collateral, production of proposals and presentations, maintenance of customer relationship management database, and occasional outside sales activities such as attendance at industry conferences. The Business Development Specialist will work under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development. The successful candidate will be creative and detail-oriented who welcomes challenges and takes initiative. A strong aptitude for creative writing and graphic design, good time management skills and multi-tasking proficiency are essential, along with strong proofreading, problem-solving and data manipulation skills.  

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree and at least three years of business development experience coordinating and developing proposals, preferably in the architecture/engineering/construction industry. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience with graphics programs, such as, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office and other desktop publishing software. Consolidated Rental Car Facility Project Manager (ConRAC PM)

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic Consolidated Rental Car Facility Project Manager. The Philadelphia International Airport has initiated a Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP). The CEP is intended to increase flight and passenger capacity of the airfield, terminals and associated facilities and to improve the passenger experience while benefiting regional economic development. The CEP proposes numerous projects throughout the life of the program including a new runway and taxiways, terminal improvements and expansion, cargo facility development, a new automated people mover, a new ground transportation center and enabling projects which allow these enhancements to occur. Candidate must have experience with the planning, design and/or construction of consolidated rental car facilities; and should have experience in one or more of the following: Management/Oversight of work in a vertical/building environment with experience in multiple trade types of contracts (MEP, Structural and Architectural). Resident Engineer-type experience, with Construction Manager as "nice to have". Owner's Representative role experience. Aviation experience. 

Requirements: 6 - 12 years of experience with salary commensurate with experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Construction Inspectors

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic Construction Inspector. DHA is seeking multiple construction inspectors to perform on-site inspection services on roadway paving and/or alley rehabilitation projects throughout Washington, DC. The construction inspector will be responsible for the following: Monitor the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contractor compliance for roadway paving and/or alley rehabilitation construction projects, under the direction of a Construction Manager or Project Engineer. Inspect and monitor assigned field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Coordinate work and inspections with contractor's representative, DDOT personnel and other stakeholders as identified by DDOT. Check lines, grades dimensions and elevations using standard surveying and field measuring equipment. Advise contractor of non-conforming work or other violations of the contract requirements. Work with the contractor to identify and implement appropriate corrective action. Ensure that work zones and traffic control setups conform to contract requirements. Prepare and review daily inspector reports for preparation of entries into project diaries. Document materials in the Materials Notebook as well as other test reports for materials. Test and/or sample materials as required, coordinate with Materials Division and send samples to DDOT, or other testing laboratories as needed. Assist in contractor's monthly evaluations. Please note: This is a six-month assignment working 40 hours a week. The assignment may be extended past six-months depending on the contract.

Requirements: A minimum 5 years of full-time experience as a construction inspector on highway, roadway, or alley construction. Experience inspecting paving construction, including concrete and asphalt. Experience monitoring the setup of work zones and traffic control. Construction Management Manager

Candidate will provide expertise in the oversight of FTA funded major capital transit projects. The Construction Management Manager will review project sponsors' construction plans and supporting documentation to ensure that projects are being built safely, on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines. The individual will serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert in the area of construction management and transit projects.

Requirements: A minimum 10 years of experience on large capital projects, including at least 3 years as a Construction Manager in passenger rail or related transportation modes. Must have a B.S. degree in engineering or related field. Experience with project scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety and risk management required. Construction Quality Control Professionals

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking multiple construction quality control managers for projects at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The construction professionals will be responsible for assisting in the management and implementation of the quality control program. 

Construction Quality Control Manager 
The QCM will attend the QC Plan Meeting, attend the Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting, conduct the QC meetings, perform the PHases Control, perform submittal review and approval, ensure testing is performed and provide QCC certifications and documentation required in the contract. The QCM is responsible for managing and coordinating the Phases Control and documentation performed by the QC specialists, testing laboratory personnel, and any other inspection and testing personnel by the contract. 

Qualifications Required 10+ years experience as a QCM, inspector, superintendent, project manager, project engineer, or construction manager on construction projects. A graduate of a four year ABET accredited college program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science. Assistant Construction Quality Control Manager 
The QCM will perform the Phases Control, perform submittal review, ensure testing is performed and prepare QC certifications and documentation required by the contract.  

Qualifications Required 5+ years' experience as a QCM, inspector, superintendent, project manager, project engineer, or construction manager on construction projects. A graduate of four year ABET accredited college program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecutre, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science. Construction Quality Control Specialist 
The QC Specialist shall assist and report to the Quality Control Manager regarding the quality of work for the assigned trades of work. QC Specialists are required to attend the Coordinationa and Mutual Understanding Meeting, QC meetings, and be physcially present at the construction site to perform the Phases Control and prepare documentation for each definable feature of work in their area of responsiblitiy. 

Qualifications Required 5+ years' experience as a QC specialist, inspector, superintendent, or other construction role dealing with the specific trade of work for which the candidate is applying. Construction QC Assistant 
The QC Assistant will be an on-site position, responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager in processing and maintaining files for submittals, and preparing/publishing reports and meeting minutes.

Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector 
The E&S Inspector will be an on-site position, responsible for inspecting the erosion and sediment control with the approved Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP). 

Qualifications Required 10+ years' experience as an inspector, superintendent, or other contruction role dealing with E&S. Must be familiar with Virginia Erosion & Sediment Control Handbook. Must be certified, or able to become certified, in the following: Inspector for Erosion & Sediment Control (Virginia DEQ). Inspector for Stormwater Management (Virginia DEQ).
