Civil Engineer

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Civil Engineer. Candidate must have experience in site and utility design, roadway design grading, storm drainage, stormwater management and erosion/sediment control. Good writing and organization skills. Civil Engineer/Project Engineer

DHA provides support to DC Water and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission as they plan, design and manage one of the world's most advanced water treatment plants. Join us! We provide hydraulic design support through the concept, design, construction and post construction of phase all projects. Skills: Licensed PE (DC, MD preferred), hydraulic design, and large scale heavy construction experience.

Design Professionals - Aviation

Capital Monitoring Capital Improvement Projects at major airport. Job responsibilities will include cost estimates and schedules; develop program budget, finance, and cash flow analysis and reports; conduct value engineering/peer reviews and constructability reviews/develop project/program website; provide cost estimating and scheduling services; provide program phasing and funding analysis; conduct surveying and geotechnical investigations; provide graphic design and CAD support; prepare and conduct presentations; and perform miscellaneous designs, studies, and investigations. The consultant shall also be engaged in conducting or coordinating various elements of programs including: public affairs and community relations; assist in applying for Federal funding; environmental documentation and permitting; right-of-way acquisition plans, property acquisitions, and easement acquisitions; obstruction and clearing activities; pavement management system updates; developing storm water management master plan; subsurface utility engineering; and management and updating of MDOT MAA's GIS and Airport Engineering Information System programs. The consultant shall also provide other professional services as required, which may include services to be provided by undesignated or specialty sub consultants that may be required by MDOT MAA for specific tasks under the contract.

Requirements: Program Director (Professional Engineer, licensed in Maryland, minimum 15 years' aviation engineering experience). Engineering Project Manager (Professional Engineer, licensed in Maryland, minimum 10 years' airport engineering experience). Civil Engineer (Professional Engineer, licensed in Maryland, minimum 10 years' airport engineering experience). Architectural Project Manager (minimum 10 years' airport design experience). Green Infrastructure - Civil Engineers

Responsibilities of this contract include supporting design, acquisition, construction, inspection and turnover of various projects to support the completion of the DC Water projects. Engineers will assist the design of bridging documents, design review, contract estimation, and other efforts involved in the delivery of multiple projects to support DC Water.

Requirements: Applicants must have experience in Green Infrastructure, Water, Waste Water design. Civil P.E. or EIT required. Familiarity with Construction industry project management, and scheduling, CAD/BIM/graphic software as well as Microsoft office programs are required. All experience levels are sought. Inspectors will review submittals, participate in inspections, note deficiencies, advise on corrections, and other efforts involved in the delivery of multiple projects to support DC Water.

Requirements: Applicants must have experience in Green Infrastructure, Water/Waste Water construction. Minimum 5 years' experience in field inspection and 3 years' of experience in green infrastructure engineering inspection. Applicants should be very familiar with QA/QC standards for Water Waste Water treatment inspection. Inspection certifications are preferred. Project Cost Estimators/Schedulers

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered is seeking Schedulers and Cost Estimators for a long term (5 Year) Program to support design, acquisition, construction, inspection and turnover of various projects to support the completion of the DC Water projects. The projects vary from waste water advanced treatment design to green infrastructure projects that support CSO separation efforts. Inspectors will review submittals, participate in inspections, note deficiencies, advise on corrections, and other efforts involved in the delivery of multiple projects to support DC Water.

Requirements: 8-10 year's total experience. 2 years' experience in Water/Waste Water with Green Infrastructure expertise a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, CAD related tools is required. Schedulers must be proficient in the most recent version of Primavera Scheduling tools, Microsoft Project. Certification preferred, including Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), and Certified Professional Estimator (CPE). Structural Engineering Intern

Candidate will work on a project team involving structural engineering and related technical assignments. Project assignments may include structural design and analysis, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating and construction inspection/observation. Specific tasks include: Revit software is a must; familiarity with AutoCad and structural engineering analysis software such as STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, or MathCAD. Assist in performing basic structural engineering design. Input and retrieve data from design software. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software. 

Requirements: Currently enrolled in a BSCE program from an accredited engineering program. Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals. Coursework in structural analysis, steel design and reinforced concrete design. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
