Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered, a minority-owned professional consulting engineering firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a talented and energetic Administrative/Quality Control Assistant to join the team supporting a major infrastructure project in the region.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure equipment is in working order.
  • Assist with organizing meetings, events, and special ceremonies.
  • Coordinate logistics for team-building, holiday events, and client gatherings.
  • Manage IT support for troubleshooting and software accounts.
  • Organize meetings, manage calendars, and assist with travel arrangements.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

  • Review documents, presentations, and reports for quality and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to formatting standards, grammar, and style guides.
  • Verify consistency with prior materials in messaging and layout.
  • Collaborate with staff to meet quality control standards before submission.
  • Provide feedback to improve clarity and presentation quality.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in administrative support, office coordination, or similar roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to perform quality control checks on documents for accuracy, consistency, formatting, grammar, and style.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and staff.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and phone systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a general office environment 100% of the time.
  • Position is full-time, on-site at the client’s program office five days a week.
