Gary provided structural design services and oversight for DHA on hundreds of projects for the last thirty years. He provided design, construction administration, and management services for more than three billion dollars of built construction throughout the United States; having responsibility for the structural design and construction of various sized projects from residential communities to major urban developments.
His breadth of knowledge and versatility within the industry allowed him to take on many roles outside of this core discipline. Under his recent role as Task Order Manager for our FTA PMO contract, Gary organized and managed task workloads within established technical, budget, and schedule guidelines to ensure that project sponsors were delivering projects accordingly.
Gary will remain an icon at DHA. He was not only a mentor to his colleagues, inside and outside of DHA, but the conscience of DHA. He was present at DHA’s critical junctures; his sage advice was sincere and honest; most of all, he was reliable, always down to earth, and available whenever he was needed.
Gary was a Fellow, Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
The engineering industry has lost a giant and DHA has lost a family member, friend, and partner!! We will all miss him terribly.
